Pioneers are groups of boy and girl elementary school age children who meet on the first and third Thursday evenings of each month during the school year. The meetings are held at Bloomington Lutheran Church from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m.

Pioneer boys study outdoor activities such as camping, handicrafts, and wildlife. Boys also take part in social activities such as sledding, bowling, roller-skating and other outings.

Girl Pioneers learn a variety of skills, do craft projects, and have opportunities to develop interests in drama and the arts.
