What is MOPS?
"MOPS" stands for Mothers of Preschoolers. MOPS is available to all mothers with a child age birth through Kindergarten. As a member of MOPS you enjoy regular fellowship with other Christian mothers as well as the support of MOPS international. MOPS recognizes that the years from infancy through kindergarten are foundational in a mother-child relationship and are filled with unique needs.

The MOPS Experience equips women for the joys and challenges of their lives as moms. One key factor in the MOPS Experience is the relationships built within a group. Time and time again, MOPS moms share that the friends they make in MOPS are significant for this season of their life and on into their future. God created us for relationship! It’s one of the defining parts of being human.

MOPS 2013-2014 Logo

The MOPS theme for 2013-14 is A Beautiful Mess:

Moms live in messes. The toys, crumbs, and spit-up are their natural surroundings. Moms often feel like a mess. They are exhausted, under-showered, and hormonal. Their past and present circumstances and decisions can leave them feeling inadequate for God’s love and purposes.

A Beautiful Mess — reminds moms that beauty can come out of their difficult spots. The grime of mothering young children brings the beauty of motherhood. The bruises of life can bring God’s redemption.

Our chapter meets at Living Hope from 7-9 p.m. on the 1st and 3rd Monday evening of the month (Sept - May). Childcare is provided during the meetings and registrations are taken throughout the year.

MOPS International exists to meet the needs of every mom—urban, suburban and rural moms, stay-at-home and working moms, teen, single and married moms—moms with different lifestyles who all share a similar desire to be the very best moms they can be! MOPS helps moms through relationships established in the context of local groups that provide a caring atmosphere for today's mother of young children.

Teacher Needed during MOPS:
An adult is needed to serve in the childcare area for birth-2 year olds. This ministry is made up of both the churched and unchurched, so it's a wonderful opportunity to serve these Moms and their children.
